The front and three sides of the upper level are surrounded by verandahs. There is half-circle portico jutting from the frontal verandah.

Design2: Phiman Chakri Hall, Phyathai Palace - One distinguished architectural feature of Phyathai Palace is its high tower with a spire rooftop in the Renaissance style, emphasizing simplicity but endowed with grandeur. The style has been adjusted to make the building appropriate for the weather of conditions Thailand, having been fitted with wide windows on all sides to facilitate ventilation and let in cool breeze.

Design3: Phra Ram Ratchaniwet Palace - This is two-storey brick building in the Western architectural style. Its high roof has been constructed in two layers; the inner layer is a ferro-concrete dome structure resembling the structure of a cell and the outer layer is an iron structure that was built to cover the ferro-concrete layer. The roof-tiles were terra-cotta but now they have been replaced by Mornia tiles.

Design4: Main Building, Srapathum Palace - The Main Building is a tall two-storey European style brick building with a basement. It is painted yellow. The distinguished feature of the Main Building is the beautiful floral moulding that decorates the friezes and the verandahs.
